Went to LO today for some 6 hours of trolling. Got just one decent and three very little ones.
Talked to another guy on a big boat, they got seven total but only two decent.
But I still cannot identify fish well. Could you please tell me what I got? I also have separate pics for the mouth and tale if needed…
Thanks.

I'm leaning towards rainbow, maybe a small coho, here's a chart with all the info you need: Fish ID

Spread the tail to see the dots, whether they're all over or just the top half or radiating in straight lines.

We fished Bronte from 530am to 1230pm....we went 6 for 8 ....three were small and released, as was the Atlantic the two we kept two good eaters.....will smoke them next week. It was a beautiful day out there.....I agree with Fisherman......Bow or Coho...hard to tell by that pic. three shakers, 1 Atlantic released
and 2 Bows kept.

Thanks! I know about this chart. Still cannot tell...
Gums appear to be white, so it's rainbow...
But Longest anal fin ray is shorter than 2/3 length of the fin base, it's chinook.
The tale is also look like chinook's...

Longest anal fin ray is shorter than 2/3 length of the fin base ... it says - chinook
But the fish has only 11 or twelve anal fin rays... which is only attribute of Atlantic... But doesn't look like Atlantic either...

Hard to tell from pic, but looks like it could be a pink. Rare, but I've seen some runs out of lake O.

Looks like a black gum line + white mouth + forked tail + 11-12 anal fin rays...all are attributes of a pink. If it has loose/small/no teeth that would be further confirmation of a pink.

Looks like a jack salmon chinook to me.

Pec fins, head shape and tail, are chinny-like

IMO 100% Coho.

The anal fin of a Chinook is was more elongated than this fish. If it were a Chinook the anal fin would run much further down the body towards the caudle fin. The sever lack of spots on the tail is a dead give away for a Coho. Rainbow/Steelhead have a put white mouth everywhere with zero black. You said white gums so that again is a Coho.

Also a normal thing you notice with Cohos is they loose those chrome silver scales so easily. I will try to post some comparable pics of the anal fin to help.

I have some more detailed pics. Look at the mouth inside. It is gray with lighter gums. So,I tend to agree with Disco, it is a coho. But the prominently forked tail still makes me doubtful.
Also note the unusual bow shape of the fish. I noticed it almost instantly as I saw the fish, still in the water. It has a relatively short and wide body shape.
Could it be a cross?
