The day before, Sunday also called for multiple t storms and rain at 100 %......
we got maybe some rain overnight, but the storm track kept splitting north and sout of the lake which often happens probably because of the escarpment
it was generally a south west track
so what to do , 20 people and 3 boats ready to go plus 30 steaks and fixings for a bbq after the outing.....also all kinds of sandwiches and other goodies for on the boat

I'd have gone, without a doubt. If the question is "how would I feel about hosting 20 people who may or may not be prepared for the weather?" - I'd be leery for sure.

Tough call, but safety first
Yes safety first, definitely. That terrible wind that I fished for crappie all day in on April 15th was a good example of what not to do in bad weather. I was not in a boat though, but I told my friends that were supposed to bring their boats not to bother. Safety first, especially on the big lakes.

If the wind is over 15km/h, I just stay home because that means the waves on Ontario will be 3 footers+. Trolling motor keeps dipping out of the water, can't fish broadside to the waves.. not fun. And if there are thunderstorms, nope, nope, nope.
I fished this morning. At 6am it was really calm. At 10am there were 3-4 footers and rain so we called it. Tomorrow will be terrible as well.
