thanks to the guys who responded to my request , went down to Windsor ,found the Lasalle launch , across from Fighting island ,just opened , missed the walleye run ,a few were caught north of the island by the boaters , too much current for the Kayak ,so I stayed out from the park / launch , caught a nice bunch of Silvers ,big run hasn't started yet , so I hit the in between run !,
silver bass are fun to catch , and are under rated for their table fare , tougher to fillet than a walleye , electric knife would be a bonus ,
also stayed at the Wellington hotel , 13 minutes , clean following the rules , reasonable too , 82 $

They are still getting them, but have to fight the SB. I agree with you I usually get into the SB once a year or so and keep a good meal of them, if the water is cold. But it is at the end of the run.
