Had another chance to get out on the big lake today. It was a beauty day. Started out with a couple small shakers but managed to ge a nice Bow and a decent Salmon before packing it in.

Nice work fellas. I agreed was a beauty nite. No bites for us. Marked bait on bottom around 100 feet. No taker s for us but none the less good conversation. And no tangles. Good fishin to all

We marked a ton of fish and massive schools of bait around the 40 to 50 foot mark. All fish were caught on the downrigger rods which were set at 40 and 60 feet.

Nice catching it's good to see ya get out

Yep, all that wind turned the water to ice, lol and suddenly shaker city is there

I was out Monday and saw the same thing lots of bait and every rod fired, but nothing deeper than 40 feet... surf temp was 59 and that was cold

The bow bite has been good and a few big boys, but not like before...I'm thinking once that water stabilizes, it will be real good again

except I noticed a few of the spiny water fleas showing up already

It's great just to get out

Thanks Shank. I've only been out doing this kind of fishing a few times now but Im loving it. It's really great learning how to set up for trolling on the great lakes.

I have been out twice on the big lake with dipsy divers with surprising luck!

I thought it would take a lot more messing around to find out what works but i have gotten very luck so far, went out last week and got one nice bow, went out saturday morning and went 2-3, both kings and the one we lost was the biggest by far, also a king. its so nice to have such a great fishery right under our nose!

I should have been trying this years ago!
