Just looking for opinions on the following lakes. Looking at cottages and want to be on a fairly good fishing lake.
fishing pressure, species and numbers.

Lake Rosseau
Lake Joesph
Lake Manitouwabing
and Georgian Bay - Pointe-au-Baril

Not looking for locations, but just opinions on the fisheries.

Will be fishing with kids.

Lake Rosseau has good lake trout and bass fishing and a small number of walleye and pike.

Lake Joseph is good for lake trout and smallmouth Bass with a few pike.

Lake manitouwabing is a warm water fishery which pike are the only fish in significant numbers.

Georgian bay generally speaking has everything in low to fair numbers, but things have been getting better with the slot in place. Chance of a big fish is always a possibility.

Just my two cents, but there are a few guys here that have cottages on the lakes and can add more info.

Muskoka has remarkably little fishing pressure considering where they are and the number of "cottages" on them.

With little kids (as I have a couple of my own), Manitouwabing is a good choice. Lots of small pike and it was easy fishing. Plus little smallies were plentiful. Pickerel can be found later when the kids go to bed.

Lake Rosseau and Lake Joe are Great Lakes for quality fishing

Joe can be tough on bright days it has very clear water also slow to warm in spring - good lake trout and bass and fewer pike and walleye than Rosseau or Muskoka

Rousseau is a little more stained water and has excellent Lake trout, walleye, bass and pike fishing through the season

Muskoka is similar to Rosseau a little more stained water than the other 2

more miles of fishing in the 3 than you could ever fish
