Beauty fish - great colour!
Congrats on smashing them again CM.
Thanks, sorry I wasn't more help with your muskie hunting this fall. We will talk before opener in 2025. I will show you a spot on Sturgeon that will make up for it.

Nice Jamie....hope you get more than one more day out there.
Arnie
Thanks Arnie, I am done. Thought about going tomorrow, but the wind gusts are topping out at 57kph, add more rain to that. No thanks. I love the west wind, even up to 30kph. But even the pike will be hiding in the deep holes tomorrow. LOL.

Will still be at it until ice or the 15th.
Sent you a PM. You are running out of time, the lakes are turned over now. The big fish are much deeper now, and very lazy. 6 or 7 inch minnow 15 to 20 feet down close to where you have caught muskie before. Wherever the closest drop off is from your favourite spot that is where the fish will be now. If you fish near water current, the closest deepest hole to the mouth of the river will have fish as well. So will the deep holes in the rivers. Watch out for restricted areas of some rivers this time of year. You may see a sign just like this. LOL.

I see everyone is wishing for an early and safe ice fishing season. I always pray when fishing by myself at night. If you want to have a great ice fishing season, pray for it. If you don't believe in praying, write a letter to this guy. He knows a thing or two about ice.

Looking forward to ice after spending the day in the boat yesterday
Thanks CM.
Out in your boat, thats excellent. Was there any fish? No boat or fishing rod for me tonight. Shovel and snow brush were my weapons. Just came in from shoveling up the snow. Only seven inches here. Nothing compared to where some of you guys live. Wow, that was a big snow storm around the lakes and Georgian Bay. Going to be a few sore backs and shoulders from clearing all that snow. Stay safe everyone.

Went by one of my fishing spots today and it had some thin ice on it. Also three youths went through some ice in Cambridge today. No injuries but everybody needs to think before they do something. A little common sense can save your life, or someone else. Let's have a safe winter.

Holy moly I went by Fairy Lake here in Acton and it had a skim of ice on it.....Earliest I have ever seen.....hoping the kids don't venture out on it. It would be tempting for them.

Yes, very tempting. My mom made it very clear to us every year of the danger. Not just the danger of the thin ice, but the danger if she heard that we were anywhere near the ice before it was safe. Moms back in the day knew how to punish kids appropriate to the crime committed.

Just came back from pike fishing again. It got up to a very nice spring like 9 degrees today. A slight SW breeze that picked up a bit, but not much. Only one problem, changed pants before leaving and left my wallet, fishing license, glasses, and phone in the other pants. Well I do have spare glasses in the glove box so at least taking the hook out of the fish was fine. The fishing was about the same as last outing. Lots of big minnows to catch lots of big pike LOL. Most of the pike were smaller again, with two bigger pike around 27 and 28 inches. Now finding myself wishing for more warmer days to go out again. Thought the fishing was over for this year, but next Tuesday it might be 6 degrees. You just never know what's going to happen with the weather. Sometimes it's better to look out the window before making the choice to go, or not to go. Sorry about not having any pictures, won't forget my stuff next time. I was waiting for the authorities to show up, but didn't see another soul all day.
