St Clair River, vertical jigging

well got out this morning with another guy to fish the St Clair River. Water temp was around 38F and not to dirty. We only got one 17" male but was nice to be on the water. Tomorrow thinking of going to the Detroit River as was just told there were easy limits coming in.

When does the silver / white bass run ?

I'd say mid may, I think could be earlier may. I try to not fish the D when they are in full swing as you can't get the jig to the bottom . the run is way down from what it was a few years back I believe.

Whitebass decimated by over harvest, no limit and people just filled up. all of them small big med whatever they took what they could and now yes numbers are way down. you can still get into them but the run is shorter

exactly. When you take hundreds of fish per person that are full of eggs there nothing left to spawn down the road. People were filling really big coolers every day.
