Looking for whitefish on the west side of cooks would the cooks bay shoal be a good bet or is there a better spot

I've seen some people on the Blue Ice Report catching the odd whitefish, but I don't think they are in huge numbers. Don't quote me on that, just merely an observation.

I got 2 white fish in Cooks last year while fishing for perch, you dont see allot but if you do they are extremely aggressive in the shallow water

i saw a whitefish last year are VB. i moved a lot that day and didnt get any perch over 4" then caught the small whitefish (probably round 8-10"). cannot confirm or deny if it was a cisco or not either though. but to me it looked like a whitefish (never fished for whitefish other than 1 time 2 years ago on that extremely warm family day, lost one at the hole cause my vibrado got caught on the bottom of the ice)

Just looking for new waters to try. Always have like the looks of cooks bay shoal but have never fished it.
