See image taken from messages posted on North Bay Fishing club on Facebook, coming from Vic Fedeli's constituency office. Pretty clear. Don't travel, stick to your household and less than five in a group.

Contact her. Ask if a non resident can visit. I've been told different by Nipissing Health Ministry. Need to be a local.

Understand what you’re getting at, but not sure whether to laugh or cry at “non-resident”.

Did they set up a border wall that quick & can I still use my Cdn passport?

Actually if you ask about a non-resident the answer would be likely be NO since in fishing terms this is non-Ontario. It wouldn’t be right to then make the leap/assumption that this means no travel within ON by ON residents.

If you live in the Toronto area Don’t travel to Nipissing to go fishing. Stay home.

Your breaking the law if you do.

That’s what I got from the new restrictions.

My outfitter contacted me today and my trip to Nipissing will be after 28 days 🤞

Good luck with the 28 days, expect it to be extended, might be until after the ice fishing season!

From the Ontario government website:
Cross-country skiing, ice fishing, snowmobiling and dog sledding can stay open, as long as they follow public health requirements.

Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters Just release this

Unfortunately, this means the OFAH cannot tell you whether or not you can go fishing and hunting, or whether or not you would be fined for doing so. It is up to each individual to make a decision of whether or not they should go fishing and hunting based on their individual circumstances.

Anybody decide to make the trip up from out of the region? I was planning on it but decided against it after speaking to Vics office. Fingers crossed I will be able to visit the lake this season again!
