Everyone that knows me cant believe my obsession with catching monster crappie. Maybe you didnt have covid. Maybe we both just suffer from the addiction of crappie fishing. LOL....I am glad you are over covid and out fishing. Liked all the photos. If I ever had a question about crappie fishing there would only be two people out there with the correct answer. One of them is you. Good luck and stay safe out there.

Amazing hauls!!
I could be wrong but looks like the tape on the 16.5 incher pic might be off by a tad at the front of the tape.
In any case, still a beast of a crappie. Beats my PB lol
It looks off but the tape measure had a fold in it.Took another reading with a metal tape and got my 16.5.Certainly hoped it was a 17.This is what it will take to Crack 3 pounds.

Just to clarify. You would be the Crappie Whisperer. I tend to intimidate the crappie with big baits. Then slow down just enough to provoke them until the crappie cannot resist the temptation to hit what ever bait I may be using. I also yell at the fish.....if necessary. LOL.

Wow! That was nice tasty haul! What you are using to catch them?
Yes I've been eating my share of Crappies and cooking up a few here and there for some seniors that I cook for in a residence. I only use tubes and jig heads Sometimes I troll for them with the larger 2.5 inch tube, but mainly prefer to drift fish with the 1.5 or 2 inch tube.My colour preference varies from white or chartreuse.

Very well done DB! Indeed a stellar season you are having.
Those of us who get through covid with mild symptoms are lucky I guess. Glad to know you were able to fish a lot with it.
Second your technic to use small tubes. I tried it a couple of years ago after reading your reports carefully and it did change my results. Thank you.
