FatRap....thanks for the note back...
- it was interesting to see, last year, same body of water, same time frame ( as many of us experienced!! ) ... we landed dozens of walleye... but all 13-17”.... which was frustrating!!... and we hoped that this year those same fish ( staying in same area would be 15-18+” in size.... but we landed, as mentions some 60+ walleye these last few days, all from 7” - 22”.... and mixed in with whitefish, herring, perch .... NICE to SEE !
- when I cleaned the 3 x walleye keepers.... 2 of them had baby peach in the guts.... so they are chasing the bait fish...but in this, all different walleye sizes......different from last season..? Makes me wonder why different!
- I have a group of 8 guys heading to a different outfitter in 2 weeks...I will be interested on how we do!

We head up Thursday, same outfitter and weekend as last year. We caught lots last year but only two keepers, lots so close it hurt to throw them back, so like you we are expecting a few more keepers this year. We will see what happens, multiple species are always welcome as well.

Had my 11 year old Grandson with us... and these 17 1/2”... 17 3/4”..were catching .....and he’s sayings it’s a keeper ! It’s a keeper! ... we place it on the measure, squeeze the tail... still short Grandson ! Rules are Rules to be followed! And I tell him, as my dad taught me! Some times the fish need to win!!!
- it’s when we catch those 18 1/4 ( 46 cm) +.. it places a special feeling in your heart ! (((( that’s what fishing is all about ! ))) doing it right ! No more, No less!
(( I think I have a fisherman for life! ))

Thats a trip Ive always to take and I hope this will be the year we do so.

Great to see that your grandson is right into the sport and excited about it too !!!

Tradition will definitely live on and some of the best memories of his childhood WILL NEVER be forgotten as the tales of the "good ol days" will be told and re told to all his fishing buddies as well as in forums such as these.

Cant wait to get my kids out there this year ,, they're both itch'n to go and they've been ranting about last years trips all summer long lol.

Tight Lines !!
