Just came back today. Four of us had a really great weekend. It was pretty active Friday and Saturday significantly slower this morning. Ended up catching about 40 walleye, about 20 perch and a few Pike. No keepers from our hut, always 40-42cm. The Pike this morning was a solid 30 inches. The hut behind us had 2 keepers and a few huts on the other end of the huts had 5 keepers there. It was our first time using SSIC, we will definitely be repeat customers.

We were out with Bear Creek this weekend, kinda slow down by the Gull Islands but we picked up 30 walleye, 10 perch and a couple of cisco's.

Ice was 21" under our hut.

edit: largest walleye was 17" so we had to resort to eating beef.

What's your secret, scar? We've been to SSIC 3 times and never caught more than 30 over 3 days.

We were up with SSIC Jan 4-6th. There was 5 in the group, the youngest member is 12 and appears to be mastering the art of ice fishing. It is always fun to see the excitement in the eyes of a fisherman or woman of any age when a big one comes out of the hole, especially when they are holding the rod. All told we ended up with 104 walleye (5 keepers), 9 perch, 1 llng (10.58lbs), 1 pike and of course a mud puppy. The service at SSIC is always top notch and everyone had a great weekend. Cannot wait to get back up in a couple weeks.
