Wondering how others have done with perch? I've fished twice in the afternoon so far this winter and catches have been spotty, maybe 6-8 perch in an afternoon, a few walleye each afternoon.

Kinda slow on the perch front.

Off Sunset Park 2k Perch so far poor compared to other years.Seems a steady decline from 5-6 yrs back For Me.I did talk to others coming off at dark who did equally poor.Perhaps off the old college may be better.

We have been fishing mornings to early afternoons with good sucess.About 80 perch on the opener and around 40 this past Friday. They seem more interested in a piece of minnow instead of a live minnow.

Been out to Sunset park 3 times since opening day. Perch schools seem smaller than last year but still a decent yield...average 15 per visit. Walleye average,2,but lack 2-3" for the frying pan. 1 lb Cisco every time also. Dead or live bait are pretty much even for hits!
