Sorry about your loss. She looked like she knew how to put fish in the boat. Memories you'll never forget.

This day was our 32nd wedding anniversary and the trip was her anniversary gift. It was a spur of the moment decision for me. I ask if she wanted to go fishing for our anniversary, she said yes that afternoon and early the next morning we were in the truck with boat in tow heading for the French river and Nipissing. Having no idea that 4 months later she would be sick and this would be her last time ever fishing. I am not a seat of the pants kind of guy, but I am so thankful that I had a spur of the moment idea and did it.

Sorry to hear. I know it's a few years ago, but probably feels like it was yesterday. Puts everything in perspective that's for sure. Time with loved ones is priceless.

It is still hard at times, life really is so short. I see it every day that I'm on the ambulance and have personally experienced it. Enjoy every minute you can.

wvmedic, thanks for posting. I never lost a wife but two very close friends in the same year. I remember something they said or did and the strangest moments. As long as they are in your thoughts they are never gone.
