Just got back from 10 days above the arctic circle in Lapland - Finland. Great cultural trip with lots of cold activities. Favorites were a day spent dog sledding in the bush (we covered about 50 miles) capped off with a beautiful light show that night:

Rare-in to go:

It's funny people think of northern lights and think purple , I have seen them 6 times now and always been green. That touch of purple makes it so much more gorgeous, I'm green with envy (pun intended) no fishing while you were there ? I heard the Finn's have some good pike over there, wish my labs would pull a sled lol , they have a hard time getting up.in the morning to grab ducks even lmao

No fishing. We were there for an ice chapel wedding:

So bride and groom were mostly in charge of the agenda. Lots of outdoor stuff though like x-country, snowshoeing, downhill skiing, skating, reindeer farm tour - list goes on. Did chat with the locals about fishing and hunting and they were quite interested in the few photos i had of last season's hunting and my year to date on Nipisissing.
