I have notice quite a few anglers fishing the ice out near Indian Belle Rock (giants tombish) in years past.

Any idea what their catching and if it's worth the walk when we get some ice?

Lakers or eyes. Good laker fishing too along the Sawlog to Awenda shoreline.

Iím quite surprised about this topic. I had an impression that this area does not freeze often and even if it is frozen up it is not accessible either by foot or snowmobile due to a very uneven ice formation.
Is it wrong?

Every year is different. Some years its smooth riding out to the tomb, other years its open water and some years its uneven ice chunks. You can access from shore and walk out to a few spots. It is possible but be careful! Ice conditions always vary.

No problem. Send me a note anytime if you need some info. Some good accessible spots and good fishing further west from there as long as ice conditions are favorable.

following up on the "good lakers from sawlog to awenda. Are you talking sawlog point to awenda or do the lakers move into the bay as well?

Wind is a little easier to manage once you round the point to the east!
