Great catch. I'm surprised there are trout in Trout lake. I convinced myself years ago if a body of water is named after a particular species or type of fish, they are non-existent in that body of water. ex. never fish for pike in pike lake lol

well done. I have fished trout lake a couple times, years ago mind you, and never got a bit. Having said that back then I was more into the drinking then the fishing.

How were the snow/slush conditions on trout? Went earlier this winter and got stuck in two feet of slush for almost 8 hours. fun times.

I might suggest that the proud angler with the lake trout peruse the regulations for Trout lake as Lake Trout are only open for one week during the summer....as in June. No lake trout exist on Lake Nosbonsing so I'm just sayin'.

...true story.....
(I think maybe you stopped by lake Bernard, and it wasn't Trout lake as you thought).

I agree. Thrillhouse and myself are convinced bass lake in orillia is named after the instrument and we pronounce it as such.
