Thanks nsfisher...both from last year...fishing has been great the last few years during all seasons...based on the excellent fall walleye bite, my gut says it will be a very good hard water season as well... One thing I will be doing more diligently this year is reeling up the walleye slowly to keep the airsack in place....caught so many 12-13 inchers last year and don't want to harm them.
Just curious what depth range do you have to be at when you should worry about the slow wind up? Have just booked my 1st trip to Nip and am really looking forward to it.
