Good luck. Lots of ice last time I was there and it is a lot colder now.

Thanks Craig....this will be my 4th time down there. My buddy showed me a few good spots so we will see what happens. Any idea what works this time of year? I have Chinook roe and I'm a fan of the pink worms. I seen a guy last week drifting with something like a piece of rind??????? I'm sure that's what he said when I asked him....whatever it was you could barely see it on his hook...lol

Cheers

Not sure what the guy was using. I know pink worms work as do beads and salmon roe should as well especially now that there is not 500 roe bags passing by a fish. You could also try stone flies. Light light and subtle presentation in this clear water is mandatory. Make sure to post how you do.

Try the pink worms . works well in the colder temps . Small x-zone swimmers work well this time of the year for drifting . Changes up the presentation from regular power bait worm every one uses . If you really want to drift something different try mini tubes . White , Green (Chartreuse) Red. I usually do well with white. It looks like a mini fry/minnow in the water ....

Goodluck .

Cold….cold day out there….stayed from sun up till 12:00…..had a few bites/nibbles….roe bags did nothing…pink worms really nothing….black woolly bugger seemed to work the best and the olive wooly bugger so so….all drifted under the float. Getting the float to "float" the right way seemed a challenge. Need to do a better job at that.

Anyway….skunked I guess…..will have to work on presentation for the winter style of fishing and try different techniques…

Still had fun!!

thanks guys

Rob

I definitely give you an A+ for sticking it out. What colour were your fingers when you left?
