Hi Joe, welcome to our forums. Sorry I can't answer your question as I have never heard of Doe Lake. I am sure others will chime in soon.

I'm from the area Joe and know the system like the back of my hand since I grew up here . I know Big Doe froze early but I haven't checked for huts or the bite yet . With all this snow we got of late the slush should be deep . LOL ,. Them slimey pike are always around so no fear of not catching . LOL I've been on little Doe and caught some pickerel this year and a couple of whities . I'll get around to checking the big lake but that couple of miles to get to it seems a long ways away . LOL Not really . Just not the lake I'm fishing at the moment .

Yes Shank it should be in the Northern Lakes area . It's actually a three lake system tied in with the Magnetawan river .

Shank you only catching small fish comes as no surprise to me since you use only those thin Ice Blue rods . LOL j/k . That was likely the last time you fished it was when I was there . Never good when the guide doesn't put a line in the water . LOL
