I have one of those and its ok for temps above -10 but colder than that and it cant keep up. I just bought the next one up. It throws 9000btus on high and 4000 on low. I dont really like how the little buddy heatersits on the ice too, kinda leans on the ice and you have to bring a lighter to start it where the mr buddy has a pilot lite with a push spark start.
Id get the mr buddy if i were you as i wish i would have in the beginning. You can always run it on low on the warmer days and the price difference isnt that much.

No chance the little buddy will work. Barely warms my hands in my 2 man flip. I went to bass pro and got a rain check for the next size up that is on sale for $89 and have a little buddy for sale lol.

I have the Buddy Heater (regular size) and its great! I think the little buddy may be too small for our temps.

Just my 2 cents

I use the little buddy n my 2 man quickfish, takes the chill out of the air and let's you dry your gloves and warm the hands but would not recommend for anything bigger.

About 5-6 hrs with the little buddy but I expect less with the bug buddy. Not sure if you can control the heat either.

If I could carry a bigger tank then I would have a bigger heater but because I am a walker, the lighter the better.

Hey Guys

The best heater to pick up is a single camping stove that takes the little green cylinders. You can pick one up at Crappy Tire, Walmart, Le Baron, Sail etc
They're about 24 dollars and the green cylinders are like 3 for 9 dollars.
It pushes out 10,000 btu and it's great to heat up your portable fish hut (also can heat up a can of soup).

Sounds like a great idea as long as it has all of the safety features like auto shutoff etc.

Fishchaser67...Smart choice going with the Big Buddy Heater.
It's like a car with 450 Hp....You don't have to use it but it's
there if you need it.
I have a Big Buddy Heater in a 6 Man Pop Up and I use it on
high for the initial heat up but most of the time I never need
more then the medium setting.
