Thanks FatRap
I will update for sure when we get back. We are staying with Idle Tymes and have only heard good things about this operator. Fingers crossed for the BIG ONE.

We have been fishing out of Idle Tyme for the past 20+ years. Shawn and Terra are great owners and will take great care of you. We are booked for Jan. 23rd to 26th with them so I will look for your report to see how you did.
Tell Shawn that Dave wants the bungalow with the fish under it this year.

1/8 oz nipissing jig and cut the stinger off, 90% of the time I use pearl white or white/red, tip it with a med size shinner. The other option is what shank says, utralight rod can make the difference nipissing walleye can be the lightest hitting fish ever.I often use a whitefish tip-up with a minnow and at times they hardly move the stick, I use my fingers to feel the bite.

A nipissing jig is a jighead style, it looks like a bullet head jig with the end cut flat , it is a stand up jig, most bait shops around there carry lots of them in different colours in either 1/4 oz or 1/8oz . they come with a stinger hook attached which is good when fishing crawlers, but in the winter when I fish shinners I cut the stinger off. The little bait shop at sunset cove has lots of them, the reason I think they work so well is when you bounce them off the bottom they will dig in and kick up some sand

I don't have a picture, but the style of the jig is called a shad-dart jig head, if you go to the do-it jig mold site and look at the shad-dart jig, thats the nipissing style
