the slot is 15.7,,,,23.6 inches ,,40 to 60 cm

No cant keep anything ,, under 15 is ok and over 24 is ok as well

Make sure you close up the tail which adds to the length of the fish. I error on the side of caution when it comes to the slot size as I have heard of folks that have measured and thought they were ok only to be told it was a slot size fish by the ministry.
