I FIND BRAIDED LINE THE BEST AS YOU FEEL EVERYTHING. VERY SENSITIVE.

I also use braid, 10 lb, with a floro leader. And use it on a rod with a soft tip to counter the no stretch line when your fighting the fish. Works good for me.
Cheers!

I'm like frk.... Braid with a 12 - 20 inch florocarbon leader. I join the line with sml barrel swivel and then a litle snap lock at lure (if jig or hook i tie direct)... A guy on this forum told me that set up a while back.

Crystal ice is good stuff, you should still tie on a good quality BALL BEARING swivel with 25"-30" of fluro leader and a small snap or with a jig tie direct. The ball bearing swivel will drasticly reduce line twist, the common problem when jigging spoons and such

Blue Power Pro Braided Ice Line @ 10lb with a 18" 8lb Flurocarbon leader attatched via snap swivel.

(If you get a snap off it will snap @ the swivel rather than potentially losing a huge section of line)
