Looking forward to some more reports after this weekend. We have a hut booked with Loon Lodge, 27th to the 1st of March. Havent ice fished on Temagami in about 20 years. Really looking forward to getting up there for some ice fishing.

How have people made out this week? I heard that the cold slowed things down a little so am curious as to how people are making out. Heading up this weekend.

I am headed to Tamar on the 11th with 3 buddies to stay in his bungalow. We were there in 2006 and had a great time with a couple big trout over 15 lbs caught. Would love to hear some reports also. Getting pretty excited. Have a good trip this weekend.

Stayed with Blue Haven - Mackie Thurs-Sun this past week.
We caught a few Whitefish, marked lots of others but no takers. The Weather was off or something. A few ling at night. The Whitefish like very small minnow which has been discussed on the boards before and the bite is soft. Be patient and you will get them.
Hats off to Mackie, great operator and really made sure we were looked after. He also know's the lake well and can advise on different things.
Hopefully it turns on for you guys, would be interested in your report when you get back.

Was also up at Temagami this past weekend.
A couple small pickerel and about a dozen trout for our group. Really tough fishing. Mostly minnows with a few on tubes for the trout. Friday was the best day.
Tons of ice and snow on top. Will make for tricky travelling and slush beds later this month if it ever warms up.

Was also up at Temagami with John Harding. Once again excellent service. He had his huts setup in about 75 to 80 feet of water near a shoal.
We were able to land three trout, one whitefish and nine ling. Trout and whitefish came on hook and minnow near bottom on both tipups and rod. Ling were caught with glow spoons tipped with minnows.
