Today I've only 3 days left on this lake for this season. I've only caught a few perch so far . . .
However - reading other posts and talking to others - the bite has been slow almost everywhere! Fish are being marked - but few are committing. So may not be me or this Lake . . . ?
Tuesday went down to a hump near the island - marked LOTS of fish in 28 FOW. However - only one took buddy's bait - 2lb bass! It swallowed the spoon! As in earlier posts - this hump not showing at all on Navionics.
Later moved to mid lake - under the power lines in 20 FOW. Nothing marked until sunset - then walleye came to our holes - checked our baits and moved on! Did get to see some deer running across the ice - much easier on them this week.
Yesterday I forced myself up early - on the ice for 5:00 and stayed on till 7:00 am in front of cottage in about 20 FOW. Marked 3 fish - but no action. Last night - drove Argo to Grass Lake - taking care when traversing the narrows - appeared no open water but went slow . . .
Similar to Kashagawigamog - on Grass the Navionics is a good indicator but not a detail / accurate map. Started in 30 FOW and worked up to 20 FOW where marked fish - likely perch. At sunset - no activity on bottom.
Today - will likely set up in front of cottage - and try an area with 'everything' I've got. Too cold (for me) to be driving up and down the lake drilling.

Bluenote
keep at it. You will figure it out. First thing is finding the fish. Looks like you are doing well on that part. The hardest part is getting them to bite. Try different things. Once you figure it out let me know....

Great job Bluenote.
Keep at it and you will notice certain patterns that work best under different conditions. Then tweak those patterns and you'll be able to ice many more. I am assuming you caught an eye?
