Season on Nipissing doesn't open until the third Saturday in May.
The ice will be gone by then.

Not sure where you are on the lake Riff, but you may be pushing it by next weekend.
The only thing I can offer to help you with is a link to the sat map.
It's a little blurry but Nip is visible on the upper right corner.
This sat view is updated daily, but if cloudy you won't see it.

Hi Guys. I am on the North West Arm in Lavigne. The ice is out about 3/4 of the way. I would say that buy next weekend the entire bay will be clear. The water has also risen about 6" in the past 3 to 4 days.

Randy.

Was down by the lake at the North Bay Waterfront this morning...very dark and gloomy...but the ice around the lake seems to be about 20 to 30 feet from shore now...and blowing around. I snapped a few pics along the waterfront. Looks like the ice is ready to go. I give it a couple of weeks and it should be gone or piled up on a shoreline somewhere...lol.

looking east along north shore at waterfront. It seems to me that the ice is being blown in a north-westerly direction there.
