Try Chandos Lake, just north east of Apsley. Some big fish in that lake. Stocked maybe thirty years ago to control cisco population. Them being an extremely oily fish, you can imagine what it does to their size. I have heard of fish near thirty pounds coming from there. Also a good bass, and big walleye. The walleye isn't a huge population base, just an interesting occasional surprise. Launch is available just before the public beach, or you could put in at the beach. A little feeder stream on the other side of the beach running from some swampy drainage. Give her hell. Post some pics. : )

Pretty sure that's a sanctuary, check the regs!
I already checked the regs, it says no walleye between 37-55 cm but it says nothing about it being a fish sanctuary... maybe you need to give them a quick check

I actually thought that at first too until I went into the actual site, I know it's good in the summer so hopefully pike spawn there

Rivermaster you should really check the regs!

Check it again, maybe even read the 3rd page this time.
damn you're right lol... well that sucks, seems like pike are in season but there's nowhere to fish for them, I don't want to go out on any lakes because I just have a kayak

People with kayaks fish in lakes all the time, even in oceans (and some even catch huge sharks in the process). You just have to be careful about it, watch the wind forecast and decide if you can safely fish a given area of a lake based on wind speed and direction. Invest in stabilizing pontoons for the kayak, they will save you from a refreshing dunk, just ask xiaolu.

Not sure if it would take 3 hrs to get to the spot that walley37 recommended but you could try Mitchell or Canal lakes then. I have heard they are full of pike.
