The reason I asked is I used to fish there back in the late '70's to the mid '80 s when the fishing was good. You could drag a jig/worm along the sandy bottom for about a half a mile while drifting past those islands. Once, I forgot to bring in the anchor, and wound up dragging it for about 1/8 mile b4 realizing the anchor was still out! By the early to mid nineties, the run-off from the neighboring farms into the Veuve River etc caused the weeds to proliferate over that entire area, rendering it impossible to troll / drift for Pickerel. I was fishing with Donald Williams, Peter Potvin, Gerald Judd, Mike Fike, and Charlie. I sure miss those days.
