Hey folks, i am going up to Lake Nosbonsing this year, 3rd time, and hoping for better results than the last 2 years.. we are hoping for Walleye, but some nice Pike would be fine as well..

I will be staying up at Big Moose and wanted to know if there are some hot-spots around the bay that the lodge is on that we could fish...

i have heard from a local that they are hitting on husky-jerks..

any advise or insight would be great..

thanks

just look for good structure and places they would hold up in ,, and ask the lodge Operator for some spots to check into as well

Throw on a white Terminator jig....slowly reel in over any weed beds....you are bound to get some attacks...it's really fun to watch.

Sorry....I should have been a better help....I should have stated it is a spinner bait jig....and you are best to buy a few because they become pretty chewed up after a day of getting hammered.

*******************

from my experiences, the white and sometimes tiger stRipe colors seems to be the choice there. pike feed on smAll perch and sILver/White minnows in nosbonsing, so mAtch the hatch! Your Best bet is to hAve Yellow and white on hand. you will capitalize for sure....(big hint there).

*******************

Here is a picture of what I have used in the past.....good luck.

Anyone know if there would be anything hanging around the sunken island? I was up last weekend and the water is quite high so some of the rocks in the shallow areas might not be visible to the eye

the Terminator Spinner bait, I take it you folks are using that more for pike then walleye or works well for both?

any reports out there on how people are doing for walleye...

Haven't been on Nosbonsing yet...but Nipissing temps are warming up slowly..mid to high 50's..and no I don't use the Terminator spinner for Walleye..just pike.

I use a 1/4 oz. jig with a glob of worm for walleye. I have also caught walleye with a white plastic grub or a blue split rapalla trolling on Nosbonsing. You might have to try a few things until you hit the mark. Have fun regardless! I am sure you will catch something.
