Was fishing for walleye with a jig and this one latched on.....no wonder the walleye was not biting....lol. Interesting that the tag just said to call the MNR....no other identification on this tag? Got the MNR's voicemail and they are going to call me back on Monday. Will let you know what they asked for. In the interest of this tag, I cannot divulge where I caught this.

I don't think I have to state that she immediately went back in....and no I was not targeting Pike....lol.

On the other side of the Floy tag is a number. This is a unique number that identifies when and where this Pike was caught during the ice out trap netting project that was just completed in Callander Bay.

There was nothing on the other side of this tag...perhaps an error on MNR's part?

I haven't seen too many of these caught not to mention pictures to boot. It's like winning the lottery. If I were you I'd buy a ticket today.

Lol....good idea...Bora bora here we come!

The MNR called me and I gave them the deets. Apparently they tagged a bunch of walleye and some pike in the bay. Nice to see them doing this kind of work to track the movements of fish in Nip.

It's nice to see some folks on here catching large walleye....(and releasing them). I will likely be out this weekend...will snap pics of anything worth sharing for you all.

Cheers....stay safe out there !
