Believe it or not....St. Vincent !
Quite a thing for a kid to see while out for a bike ride!

He thinks they came along the hydro corridor.....south end of town.

Quite possible . Saw 1 about 9 years ago while riding in hydro hills . Also seen one at simoro golf course (line 1 of oro) . I thought it was a tipped over tree while looking for my ball in the bush ! Very surprising !

Seems like more and more moose are being spotted down this way.

A Barrie Radio station issued a traffic warning last Friday about a mother moose and calf in the Midhurst Area. Sounds like they're ambling along the Hydro corridor in the south end of the village and visiting some of the adjacent streets and homes in the area.
A number of years ago we had a resident black bear that became a nuisance around the local general store that was known for its ice-cream cones. It was suggested at the time that some patrons of the General Store were feeding the bear. It became very bold, was considered a threat to the safety of the residents and was "permanently removed" after several complaints.
Mother and calf moose might move to more "traditional locations" once the flies and mosquitos decrease in numbers.
