I'd like to kayak up Pigeon River from hwy 35 to Pigeon Lake. Does anyone know if the river is fully navigable along that stretch? Or will I be out of the kayak walking it half the time?

Huh, 35 to the cottage on Pigeon is almost 50k. So perhaps not starting at hwy 35!

Thanks, that's probably about right. 27 kms from there is much more reasonable. Plus there's a dam there that I would have had to portage around anyway.
