I jumped at the chance to spend a night with my oldest son at Balsam Lake and go gator hunting. He called up with some great news that he was just hired as a Toronto Paramedic and wanted to get away before he starts. So I grabbed up a couple of celebration steaks and headed up for Thursday night. We fished all day from sunrise to 5 pm. I caught a small muskie which let us look at it and shook the hook off beside the boat and one gator. We had several follows a few perch and not a single bass. Had a great time, super relaxing until I got stuck in the road closure on the 400. Heres a couple of photos.

Those are probably the best cuts you could possibly get from a brontosaurus. Who's your butcher , Fred Flinstone ?

Glad you had a good day out with your son Dale and congrats on his new job. He may come in handy if we ever make it back in to Algonquin, just sayin.
