A delayed report from last weekend.. But better late than never..

Went out for some bass fishing in the Kawarthas, one of my favorite types of fishing. Hadn't been out yet so had no idea where the fish were, lake conditions or any intel. Started the day fishing shallow in the lily pads and reeds and fishing was tough. Caught a few largemouth, but they were far and few between. Biggest to come out of the slop was 2lbs. Average depth in the reeds/pads was 3ft. Moved to some deeper water along weedlines and this was more productive and caught quite a few more bass. Slow fished the areas that produced and picked up a few larger bass. Higher concentrations of bass were sitting on weed edges in 7-10 fow.. Total for the day was 16 bass (14 largemouth, 2 smallmouth) & 1 walleye...

All in all not a bad day on the water, lots of fun as usual..

All fish released to fight another day..

Good on you for finding the bass. The lake I fish is always too choppy to see a weed line.

That is why God invented fish finders. LOL
