Headed out the Kawarthas again and had a very good day.. Started out at my bass spot and was into them right away, landed 4 nice largies in about an hour, ~ 2 lbs. They were sitting on a weed edge 7-10 fow, Carolina rig with a senko did the trick.. The area went cold so I zoomed to my second spot, first drift and hooked into a decent fish, after a few leaps, landed it, a nice 3.5lb smallie.. Headed into the weeds to try for largies and was ripping my lure over the mats, and wham, huge splash... Muskie!! The fish was running in and out of the weeds and busted the surface a few times.. Whooooo... Heart pounding battle, and finally netted it.... Quick measure, pic and release...
41 inches.. It's a summer fish so it's skinny, est weight 15-20 lbs..
By this time the sun was beaming and there was no wind, I was baking out there.. So stopped for a break and lunch.. Started fishing again with the sun lower in the sky and did some more bassin in the weeds, caught a few more largies.. Decided to drift the evening deeper and hit one walleye.. Completed the hat trick, so packed it in..
Great day fishing... Don't know why I don't get out more..
O ya...... I have to work and stuff.. LOL
Have a great long weekend everyone!!!
And for all you fish porn addicts.. Here you go pics:
