They should be fine. Salmon or Trout - Try too give them a good river wash before you leave the river. I usually let them sit in some kind of mesh stocking .... "Pantyhose". I find they wash really well. Do not use use tap water to river wash yours eggs.loll Chlorine will ruin them. I also try to keep the cure as natural as possible. Use half a box of iodized salt in pot with water. Set to boil all the salt. Once boiled bring the pot outside to cool off making it room temperature. After pot has cooled put your eggs in it. Let them sit in until they float to the top of the pot. After they float to the top I let them sit in for another hour. You can leave them in longer for more rubberized results on the egg. In the mean time set another bowl with really cold water. Set the eggs in there for 10 minutes to deactivate the process of them getting really rubberized. After the cold water sit them on a tray on top paper towel for a few hrs so they can dry properly before vacuum packed or zip locked. When vacuum packed or zip locked I usually Lay each eggs on its own flat not stacked or clumped in a ball on top of each other. With this cure you can play around and see how rubberized you like your eggs. Mine are pretty bouncy as enjoy bottom bouncing with longer clear leads.
