"STAY INSIDE" if at all possible !!!
Road conditions and visibility here in Wasaga are very bad high winds and blowing snow are making for dangerous conditions !!
Park 1 roadway has drifts of 3 ft +, the gate will most likely be closed later tonite.. River is up about 3 ft...
Good night to have a toddy and watch a fire ...

Very heavy squall here at Horseshoe the last hour. Couldn't see the house across the street. Has eased a little now, but I'm sure we will get more. Based on the forecast I stayed home today and plan to do the same tonight and watch the Leafs. SDC

Just went past the gate and it's open. Quite a bit of frazil ice coming down the river though.

As of 5:00 PM the gate to park 1 is "CLOSED", heavy drifting across.. As mentioned there is considerable slush and ice coming down the river.. Guess you could always walk in (with high boots) Will advise of any change in status..

Harold ; You just may be right ,but perhaps the mild weather next week will allow us one more shot.. If not ... Time to get down to some serious bow hunting..

Once the park locks the gate it stays that way until spring. Luckily there are a couple of spots on the other side of the river.
