Hey guys, I am doing the R.A.P Tour around Algnquin Park this winter and am hoping to do a little ice fishing along the way. Does anyone have any experience snowmobiling and doing the tour that would know of any Lakes along the way that are decent ice fishing lakes? Any help would be great, thanks!

I read about the RAP tour a couple of years ago. From my understanding it was go go go. No time in day to stop outside of the schedule.

I'm interested in doing the tour around the park but not till I have more time.

for reference can you post the link?

We did the RAP tour 12 or so years ago (Counter Clockwise). Fishing was not on our minds at the time so I can't help with lakes on the trip. However I remember some of the trail being on lake Nipising and following the signs posted on the Ice to the Moz-Ze-On-Inn. When we booked the motels for the trip we didn't know the type of entertainment this Inn offered, enough said about that.

I'm having a hard time recalling where we stayed, I think it was Whitney, Pembroke, North Bay and Baysville. I can't remember the exact mileage but when we closed the loop it was 1030 km.

Each day we planned it so we would arrive at our rooms around 3 or 4 in the afternoon, this gave us extra time if we made a wrong turn also to get cleaned up have a few drinks before dinner. It made for a relaxing trip. If I ever get back to sledding it's a trip I'd do again.

Well depending how many days you do it in you can take your time and sight see and do it in 5 days. Some people prefer longer sledding days and do it in 3 days.
This is a great link with some really interesting info. This guy and his group did it in 8 days.

I was reading about a company that provides machines and does fast pace tour or the RAP.

Doing alone seems good if have the time.
