Went for a drive yesterday to lake st.john to check on ice conditions. Was disappointed to see that the access point at Longford mills was being fenced in and will no longer be available to ice fisherman or boat launchers! Does anyone know the reason for this? Really sucks was a great spot for winter pike.

I was there the other day first time there saw the fence and dozer in there but never saw any sighs. I have never fished there but do you think they could just be working on the lot? Just drove in gate was open took some pics and had pee lol.

I usally fish on the other side by airport good access, however with the Longford mill side closed off now the parking on the airport side will be limited at best. May have to reside in my portable on ice for winter to maintain a spot lol. The boat launch out of bluebird parkette is horrible.
