Well I'm back up working in the Ottawa area so was hoping on to get in a lake that I did well on last year for some stocked lakers but was pretty much wide open.
Yesterday I did finds smaller lake that's been stocked with walleyes and also had perch and pike in it found aceess seen I guy out fishing so I figured I try it today.
There was 6" of ice every where I drilled.
Ended up with 4 perch 2 real nice ones and lost a 3lb+ walleye at the hole

some nice looking perch there. great colors. I am truly sorry for your loss... well maybe not that sorry since I still haven't been able to get anywhere near ice that wasn't made in my freezer!

First time out this season (Brook Trout), went 6 for 8. Pretty decent start to the season. Nothing of any size, all released.

LOL beat me to that punch line..

Nice brookies Nomadic, true Canadian backwoods fishing..

Caught those on jigs I see.. We always use minnows, but they are a pain to carry around.
