First fish of ice season

World Record Trout Group: Members Posts: 1094 Member No.: 3763 Joined: February 26, 2013	Well I'm back up working in the Ottawa area so was hoping on to get in a lake that I did well on last year for some stocked lakers but was pretty much wide open. Yesterday I did finds smaller lake that's been stocked with walleyes and also had perch and pike in it found aceess seen I guy out fishing so I figured I try it today. There was 6" of ice every where I drilled. Ended up with 4 perch 2 real nice ones and lost a 3lb+ walleye at the hole First fish

Nice brookies Nomadic, true Canadian backwoods fishing..

Caught those on jigs I see.. We always use minnows, but they are a pain to carry around.
