Just went out 5 kms Infront of my place at 5 pm (in front of Eagles nest gas bar ...highway 17) ...there is 1/4 inch of slush ontop of the Black ice .. Three holes yielded 11-13 " of ice ...

Everything is looking good on this end and with no snow on the lake and some cold temps coming. If anyone had any worries you can rest easy. Everything will be a go for the opener. To my groups See you soon

Greening Bay Cottages is good to go. Dan put the tree line in today and starting to haul shacks over the next few days. Lots of black ice but no snow. Hopefully that's on the way. Couple of healed pressure cracks but that's the norm. Happy fishing everyone!!!
