New to the Apsley area and avid ice fisherman. Trying to get info on what lakes are good lakes for ice fishing, ice thickness and quality info. As well as any tips, techniques and pictures, etc.

Make sure you check the regs on lakes in that area most of them are closed all winter. I'm think a part of jack lake is open which has walleye and some good crappies in it

This is the link for that area, Zone 15. Be sure to check the exceptions for any lake you are planning on fishing as well ..

is there any lake maps or depth charts online for Jacks Lake, or is GPS my only option? Maps sold at local bait shops? Trying to figure out the best plan of attack. I'm told the lake is now locked up and being fished.

I was told in the shallow spots there was at least 5" of ice. The weather has been dicy the last few weeks here but have recently had a good cold snap.
