Goals !

Good day fellow anglers.
We all have common goals I'm sure, a good time with friends, bringing out new people, visit old friends, sharing a tradition, starting a tradition, enjoying the mighty Nip.......... But what would make your eyes bulge out ????
Would it take a 30 inch plus Pickeral? A 40 inch Pike coming thru the hole? Or maybe a 20 inch mud puppy or our buddies finishing off 6 cases of beer in 3 days for one guy??
In all seriousness, old timers and newbies what would put you over the top this hard water season ?

Since I'm asking the question I better answer it too..... For me it would be seeing my two buddies I go with each year catch the biggest set of eyes they have ever caught !! It's always great to watch your buddies real in a whopper !!
If I was to be selfish I would be wanting one of those lake sturgeon the hut beside us caught last year. I'm from BC and we see them all the time but to see one come out of Nip thru the ice was a once in a life time thing
I'm fortunate to have a cottage that has much better Pickeral fishing then the Nip but that's ignoring the hard water season. So to make my eyes bulge I want to see my buddies get into some big sluggers !!

What will make your eyes bulge when you watch something come up that hole ??????

taking a buddy up to nip for the first time to see him hook into and land anything bigger than the herring he got on simcoe last year would be great and give him some thing to talk about all year till next years trip big old pike, ling nice big eye would be the best for him and me to

I am with you on the sturgeon, the guys that work in our north division in Barrie caught one a few years ago ice fishing on the Nip, what a thrill that would be..........would make more than my eyes bulge

A couple of hours at fannys usually make my eyes light
up.........thats always fun on our ice fishing
trips to nippising....

If your buds are hammering that many beers, it would be hard to make thm bulge out.

THIS PIC BELOW WAS AN EYE OPENER FOR US 2 OR 3 YEARS AGO WHEN WE WERE SITTING PLAYING SOME CARDS AND MY ROOKIE BUDDIES BELL ON THE END OF HIS ROD STARTING DINGING. THIS IS STILL THE BIGGEST FISH WE HAVE EVER PULLED UP ON THE NIP. HIS FIRST FISH ON NIP WAS THIS MONSTER LING.

OOPS, MAYBE NOT A MONSTER TO SOME OF YOU BUT IT WAS OUR FIRST LING AND TO US IT WAS A MONSTER. THAT WAS MY BUDDIES FIRST EVER HARD WATER FISH. TUFF ACT TO FOLLOW. LOL
