Today I went to a few locations to check out the ice and my new drill! Unfortunately my drill doesn't have enough torque to punch a lot of holes but hear is what I found.

I didn't get through my auger died I was trying out a new drill but anyway I don't know what the ice was like past where I drilled but all around the shore and 50-100ft out it was solid dont have an exact measurement but I'm guessing 4.5 inches

Looking good! That's the hard black ice we need. Temps. are supposed to be in the heavy minuses starting next Monday; which will thicken it up if the snow stays away. Wed. -13 day and -22 night. Beaverton area.

funny how it changes so much year to year last year at this time I had my hut set up out of Beaverton on the perch grounds....right now its in the driveway and if it stays much longer i'll run out of things to modify sure would like to get to a big feed of fresh perch

Ya lol it's not the auger that's new is the drill attachment that's new I bought a 20v mastercraft drill but it still doesn't work that good I think it's because the auger is an 8 inch idk
