Do u have two speeds on that drill? Sounds like its in the wrong setting. Makes a big difference. An 8" auger will drain your battery faster but you should be able to drill a hole or 6 before it dies.

Hey Wishing,
When was the last time you replaced or had the blades sharpened. The difference is night and day with new blades. A charged 20V should have had enough juice to punch a few holes before dying. Just a thought.

I have tried both speeds high and low. I use low cuz it has more torque but I think my drill only has 330lbs of torque so maybe it's just not enough powerful I might try a 6 inch auger but I don't have one and I don't wanna spend anymore money on this if it ends up not working

I bought brand new Nordic blades for it and it was the first time I tried it out I can guarantee those blades are sharp enough.... I cut myself like 10 times trying to get them on

I drove by on Dec 31st and it was almost wide open to the Island off Port Bolster / Beaverton. Yesterday driving back VB looked frozen across to the island but no one was on the ice and only on night of ice built up. Unsafe. Looked almost frozen to the island also but again only one night worth of ice beyond 100 ft of the beach. Wind was gusting. Suppose to warm up and rain and wet snow so that will prolong the ice and screw up a lot of ice formation.
