Myself and usually about a dozen other family members and friends have been coming to nipissing every year for about 40 years myself only 10 but we drive from the Windsor area so about an 8-9 hour drive if good weather and traffic and we have seen lots of changes to the lake and regulations. We always follow the regs to the letter and yes going from 4 to 2 walleye was a tough pill to swallow have yet to see how the new regs will treat us but we love perch. I have seen many post about staying at nip and leaving for another lake, and I respect both sides but personally I have never had more fun in my life, I look forward to nip ice fishing as soon as the weather turns. We go out from the waltonian every year and have a great. Knock on wood but we have success every year for three fish frys and bring a little home after a week. We also have the luxury of moving around and being mobile. To end my rant I must say I love the lake, the people, the locals, the accommodations, the scenery, of course the fish.... And the mozy lol Best of luck everyone see you jan 31st

I totally agree... I've been going up for 20 years every January. In September we go Musky hunting on the West Arm. All these guys getting pissy about the new limits will come back with their tail between their legs when the fishery improves. Which is cool, lots of room on the bandwagon...hop on. If I want eat fish I'll go to The Fish House. The Mosy... well that's another story.
