That's exactly why I started thinking of a cheap lightweight compact back rest solution…then the bucket back rest was born. You can pile these together too!

When travelling can the backrest easily remove and stack inside bucket? Or does it have to stay as chair taking up lots of space?

What happens when the plastic is cold and brittle and you lean back? I've seen what happens to those cheap plastic stacking chairs.
