The ice fishing was terrible last year. A few small (1 - 2 lb) Lakers was all we saw and we spent our share of time out there - inner harbour, outer harbour, T-Hole.... No fish caught, no fish marked.......lots of speculation as to why that was.

Any chinook ice fishing near Midland or Penatang? I was looking at the charts and there is some real deep water in the channels between main land and Christian Island....

I did a lot of fishing and same results nothing very big just small lakers. Once the ice was gone took out the aluminum boat and jigged with all my ice fishing equipment and did well got lots of fish 3 weekends in a row. The look of people so shocked to see a couple guys in an aluminum boat jigging in 90ft of water was so funny. Salmon stay on the bottom so the people down rigging have no chance hahaha

the ice fishing sucked last year in the sound, spent every weekend on the ice to catch very little......As for ice fishing T-hole this winter I have my doubts walking on hard water there.....theres very few whities to jig for anymore anyways. and yes the rigging was good last spring if you knew where to go!!!!
