Hello all. I am not asking for a hot spot but was wondering where about on Nipissing and how far about I should go to reach lakers and whities ground ? . Few years ago I went there but due to lack of knowledge of the lake I ended up on eyes ground .
Any advise will be appreciated.

Well for the lakers head out to the middle of the lake, then, hop back in your vehicle and drive south down Highway 11 until you hit the muskoka area...or continue until you hit Lake Simcoe.

Seriously...no lakers in Nip.

Somebody might be able to give you a hand with the whities, if, this post isn't just for a laugh

Suggest you drive another hour north and go to Temagami....

lakers, whitefish and walleye

For good lakers I suggest Lake Joseph.I believe it opens on the 15th of February, short season but definitely a productive lake for ale trout.

Ok gentlemen I correct myself, where about on lake Nipissing to go to be on withies ground. Some one mentioned middle of the lake but could any one tell what road should I take to have access to middle of the lake?
Also thanks for the tip for Temagami, I will also think about that.

Whitefish has never been more than an incidental catch for me on the nip.

As Longshank said - for what you want you are better off fishing Temagami

The middle of the lake comment was part of a joke, I agree with the others...either Temagami, or, Muskoka for what you are looking for.

Yeah as above I would not head to nip if you are targeting whities. We tend to catch maybe 1 a year and only while targeting Walleye. They are there but not something I would make a trip specifically for...
